ST ERKENWALD'S

I was raised knowing Jesus and knowing that God was with me. He was always a friend who was protecting and watching over me. I was baptised at St. Erkenwald’s and had attended the church growing up. At the age of 19 I was asked to go to an Alpha group, but initially declined. However, when the next course came along I signed up for it as I felt more open to going and wanted to give it a try. At the Alpha course we were given the opportunity to really learn more about God and ask questions and think seriously about what becoming a Christian was about. I met some fantastic people and I can really say they are now true friends of mine. On the Holy Spirit Day which the course culminated in, I know I felt God was with me and I experienced it all for myself and things all just clicked into place for me.
 
I knew that after this there was no denying my belief in Jesus and what he did for us. I have grown to realise the importance of knowing God and having him in my life. I love St. Erkenwald’s and the people in it. I love the fact that modernism is not something to be scared of but embraced. I love the fact that even in a service we can have a laugh and have fun, but above all I love the fact that God is paramount there and he is truly the head of our church. Over the years I have grown in my faith and even though I am still learning and still developing in faith. I know that God is with me and that he has blessed me with a wonderful family, boyfriend and friends and a life ahead which is enriched by having a relationship with him.

Life Groups are small groups of people (usually between 5-12 people) who meet regularly in homes to connect with others and to help each other take their next step of faith, whatever that may be.

Our hope is that everybody who calls St Erkenwalds their home church would connect in a Life Group so that they can experience the difference that intentional relationships can make in our lives! Find Out More
